Monk's beard

The early spring vegetables monk's beard or Barba di frate, as it is known in his native Italy, looks like a thick, meaty grass. The wild herb belongs to the family of the plantain species and has a slightly bitter and salty taste.

We serve the monk's beard raw as a salad, with homemade pasta or stir fry it in olive oil as a vegetable to meat and fish.

Our lake fish are caught exclusively by the Weidmann and Grieser family. The offer varies from catch to catch and all fish are served without bones.
